Gotta make a confession... about last night's game of Chinese Chess with Shawn. In our second game, I used a simple defensive formation I vaguely remembered, to guard against his attacking style. And it worked excellently. It was known as "五六炮", a defensive but versatile formation.
Both of us had not played Chinese Chess for years. And with his dangerous attacking, Shawn totally annihilated me in the first game.
The second game got easier for me, with the defensive formation in position. I would not have held my ground against the attacks in the second if not for this simple and impregnable formation.
